Feeling more at home

It's been nearly a year since I've moved to Hawai'i. I had a really rough start and it didn't get better until a couple months ago. This past summer has been an awesome experience! It uplifted me, a wake up call, telling me to enjoy my life every minute possible. With the school year on a roll, I'm super excited for my future.. I feel great about my life! I'm not letting anyone bring me down. This is the year to shine :). I've got two more years of high school then I'm off to college.

Just for your brief info on my classes this year. I am taking:
Algebra 2
JROTC
English 11
Marie Science
Psychology
World History

I currently have 15 credits going into my Junior year.. Which means, I'm 3 credits ahead of my class. The minimum requirement to graduate at Kealakehe High School is 24. I'm on a roll..

If you guys haven't noticed, I changed the name of my blog to mylene's rock. It used to be mylene rocks. I know you're probably thinking, it's not that much of a change. BUT the concept is different. Mylene's rock is my way expressing that wherever Mylene is, that's her rock, her home. I've learned that I can't keep my mind stuck on one place, it holds me back and sets me on the wrong road. If I simply accept the change and be happy about where I came from and where I am now then I will be able to set my mind on the right road. I appreciate everything that my friends, family, and the people from Saipan and the rest of the Northern Mariana islands have done to educate me and help me become the person I am today. I will forever cherish the great moments I had on that island.

"It is so important to be aware of where you're at and be focus on where you're going but, more importantly, never forget where you came from..." -Unknown

Today is officially my sixteenth birthday! ...Saipan time ofcourse. I've got a couple more hours, Hawai'i time. I'm a proud CNMI born =).

Miss you guys! Love you all!
